Tourism Business Advisor

As a critical part of WWF Namibia’s Business and Enterprise team, Usiel trains and advises communal conservancies on joint venture agreements with private sector partners and provides training and advice to conservancy members regarding small enterprise development, including crafts and campsites. His career at WWF began with the LIFE project and as part of the Namibia Community-based Tourism Association Trust (NACOBTA).

Prior to joining WWF Namibia in 2000, Usiel, who has a degree in Business Administration and Management, was a Trainer/Consultant for small business development for the Institute for Management and Leadership Training (IMLT), and then worked for Namibia Development Corporation as a Business Analyst focusing on renewable energy loans.

Usiel’s roots are in the community in the Kunene Region of northwest Namibia where he first worked as a teacher.
