Margretha is a highly skilled multimedia communication professional with extensive experience in leading communications strategies, media relations, impactful messaging, website management, and executing effective social media strategies to elevate organisational programs and services.Before joining WWF Namibia, Margretha served as the Partnerships and Communications Lead at UNDP headquarters in New York and the Communications Lead for UNDP Namibia. With expertise in international and sustainable development, she has worked in Namibia, London, and New York, supporting global programmes and leading international campaigns. Her skills include resource mobilisation, donor relations, and strategic communications.
Margretha holds a Master's Degree in Media and Communication Industries complemented by a Bachelor's Degree in Media Studies with a minor in English Studies. She has undergone training in data analysis, design thinking, media for development, and digital journalism from various international universities.
She is deeply curious about the world and enjoys travelling to explore new cultures and landscapes. In her free time, Margretha loves baking and has a passion for photography, which helps her capture and tell stories about her adventures.
