Alice Poniso

Contracts Assistant

Alice Limani Poniso is a dedicated professional specializing in the governance of Common-Pool Resources (CPRs) and conservancies. She holds an Honours degree in Integrated Environmental Science and a Higher Diploma in Natural Resources from the University of Namibia. Currently, she is pursuing a master’s degree in Wildlife Management and Ecotourism, emphasizing CPR governance and sustainable practices.  
Alice's career began with community volunteer work, which sparked her passion for social and environmental change. She progressed from Project Trainee to Project Assistant Coordinator at the Namibia Nature Foundation (NNF), where she worked on projects related to inland fisheries, Community-Based Natural Resource Management (CBNRM), and forestry. Additionally, Alice served as an Assistant Researcher on the Volkswagen Foundation-funded project "Sustainable Human-Wildlife Co-existence in KAZA," which enhanced her understanding of human-wildlife interactions and sustainable practices.
