Michael Strang has been engaged in fighting illegal wildlife crime in six Southern African countries for the past nine years. Before coming to South Africa in 2013 he was a diplomat in the U.S. Department of State where he worked to restore governance, rule of law and the economy in Northern Iraq. Prior to serving in Iraq, he was a director in two of the largest Fortune 100 companies. Mike is veteran of over 27 years in the U.S. military and served as an aviator and foreign area officer in assignments around the world.
